Bruce has been a member of the Tarvin team of professionals since the early ’90’s, first in a part-time capacity and as a dedicated full-time associate and top performer since his retirement. Bruce enjoyed 38 years of success as a corporate lender with Chase Manhattan Bank and Fleet Bank, achieving Senior Vice President status prior to his retirement. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Bruce rowed on the Penn varsity crew, which ultimately won the Grand Challenge Cup at Henley, England. He and his fellow crew members are members of the Rowing Hall of Fame in Mystic, CT. Bruce and his wife, Phyllis, are lifelong residents of Ridgewood, where they raised their children: Bruce, Jr., Scott and Cathy. Bruce is an active member of the Ridgewood community and his church. He has served as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and was Chairman of the Ridgewood High School Football Scholarship Committee. He is currently a member of the Ridgewood Hobbyists, an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, a volunteer mentor for the Travell Elementary School and serves as a Trustee of the Ridgewood Education Foundation.
