Lucia has lived in Ridgewood for over 20 years with her husband, Josh, a litigation attorney. They have two sons who attended Somerville Elementary School and BF Middle School and now attend the University of Maryland and Ridgewood High School, respectively. They all reside with their most loyal and much-loved teenage dog, Rex. She has a BA in English, cum laude, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and is a graduate of Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law where she received her JD and was on the staff of the Hofstra Property Law Journal.
As a former assistant prosecutor for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, she began her career with the Narcotics Task Force prosecuting drug offenders, went on to become Chief (attorney) of the Burglary, Major Crimes, Domestic Violence Squads and the Confidential Investigations Unit, finally finishing 20 years of public service as a drug-court attorney overseeing cases in which drug-addicted non-violent offenders were given the opportunity for rehabilitation.
After leaving the Prosecutor’s Office, Lucia joined the Ridgewood school community as an active volunteer; among other things as class parent, bake sale chair and more recently as Class Representative for the Ridgewood High School Class of 2024. An ardent fan of Ridgewood Boys Lacrosse, she was a member of the Ridgewood High School Boys Lacrosse Board and Communications chair for the parent-booster community for 4 years. She is also an amateur photographer who photographs the games for parents and players. Although she is no longer on the board, she still remains a loyal fan and continues on as the “official” JV photographer!
Lucia enjoys helping people and brings her dedication, research, negotiation and communication skills to the table.
