Sally Tarvin Thurston, a Ridgewood native and daughter of Roy Tarvin, has real estate in her blood. Offering her clients more than 20 years of real estate experience in the Bergen County area, Sally is licensed as a Broker Associate achieving the highest professional designation in the real estate industry. She also holds the GRI designation from the Graduate Realtor Institute, which signifies advanced studies in real estate, the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, which recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education and a Certitified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute. Sally is a member of the Tarvin Ten Million Dollar Sales Club.
Sally resides in Ridgewood with her husband, Tom, a lifelong Ridgewood resident, and their four children, who represent the seventh generation of their family to live in town. Tom is a partner at Sandler O’Neill & Partners in New York City, and their children range in age from fourth grade through college.
Sally graduated from Colgate University in 1989. She has been active in the College Club, Friends of the Ridgewood Library, and the Somerville Elementary and Benjamin Franklin Middle School Home and School Associations. A former Ridgewood High School basketball standout, she has coached numerous teams for the community. She is a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Ho-Ho-Kus and also a member of the Saddle River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, an organization involved in raising funds for local scholarships and educational awards, preserving historical properties and artifacts, and promoting patriotism within the community.
