Katherine Montgomery is a Certified Negotiation Expert... part of a select group of NJ Realtors. She is a member of Tarvin's Prestigious FIVE MILLION DOLLAR SALES CLUB. Her knowledge of local properties and her dedication and discretion are key to helping her clients understand the process and to realize their dream real estate transaction. She and her husband, David, a graduate of Ridgewood High School and Director of Cardiology at The Valley Hospital, have lived in the Willard School District of Ridgewood for 25 years with their five children. Their children have all been educated in the Ridgewood school system and gone on to attend Dartmouth, Cornell, NYU and Oxford, UK.
Born in Paris, Katherine moved with her family to the United States at a young age. As a child she spent summers at her cousins’ homes in Greece and Spain. She is fluent in spanish. Katherine is a graduate of Garden City High School in New York and Villanova University. Prior to a career in real estate, she worked at Equitable Capital Management in Manhattan.
Katherine has been active in the Ridgewood Public Schools as well as the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet at American Ballet Theatre in New York City. She served on the boards of the Ridgewood YWCA, Friends of Music, Friends of the Ridgewood Library, West Side Nursery School and is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of the City of New York. As an active member of the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, Katherine currently serves as an Elder. She also volunteers weekly as a spanish interpreter for patients at Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) in Hackensack. BVMI provides free medical care to working individuals who cannot qualify or afford medical insurance.
