Jack-O-Lanterns, black cats and decorated houses…which neighborhood will be the scariest this year? Halloween in Ridgewood is old-fashioned trick-or-treating at its best. You’ll be bewitched by the detailed displays and overall charm as the kids hurry down the sidewalk running from one lighted porch to the next.

Neighborhood’s throughout Ridgewood have been providing a fun, safe & memorable place to celebrate the festivities for decades. The exquisite village that Tarvin Realtors has called home for nearly 50 years was voted the best place to live in Bergen County – and Halloween is a great example of why! Neighbors and friends go all out to make this a special and spooky night for kids and adults alike.

There is no shortage of ghoulishly fun

Crisp air, falling leaves and driving down Ridgewood Avenue or Monroe as all of the beautifully colored mums line the front doors... fall is in the air! The kids in their fall jackets shuffling their feet through the leaves, as they walk to school has always been one of our favorite images of Ridgewood. The pups can’t seem to get enough of the fall either, with the cool air to sniff on the morning walk.

Quintessential Ridgewood… after a weekend of yard work, streets are lined with leaves until city service comes along to clear them away, just in time for the neighborhood block party. Yes, like a bygone era, we still have block parties in most Ridgewood neighborhoods. It’s so special these days to have the opportunity to get to know your neighbors
