While we shouldn’t need a specific reason to celebrate fathers and all they’ve done for us over the years, this Sunday is the officially designated “Dad is awesome day”, otherwise known as Father’s Day. Those looking for Father’s Day ideas to spoil their dads or treat them to something special will find a myriad of things to do for Father’s Day in and around Ridgewood, NJ this year.
So gather the whole family and celebrate Dad, Grandpa, and any father-figure in your life by partaking in one (or all!) of the following 5 Father’s Day Activities for Ridgewood, NJ Dads!
Take Dad Out to a Ball Game
Spend Father’s Day with America’s favorite pastime! Baseball fans aren’t the only ones who will enjoy watching the Hackensack Troasts play ball. Made up of current collegiate players and alumni, as well as former pro minor league players, the Troasts are recognized as one of the top semi-pro baseball teams in the country. The Hackensack Troasts are playing the North Haledon Reds on Father’s Day at the North Haledon Municipal Park. If you can’t make it out to Sunday’s game, the Troasts also have home games on Tuesday and Wednesday at Foschini Park. Both parks are less than 20 minutes from Ridgewood!
Get His Motor Runnin’ at a New Jersey Car Show
You don’t have to be in the market for a new car to enjoy any one of the New Jersey car shows taking place over Father’s Day weekend! Aside from featuring classic convertibles, muscle cars, supercharged motorcycles and everything in between, these family-friendly shows typically include live music, local food trucks, vendors, games and prizes.
