Engineering for Kids – Electronic Game Design

In Engineering for Kids’ Electronic Game Design summer camp, your child will create their own video game! Each student is provided with a laptop that they will use to create super hero characters, build obstacles and challenges, and customize various levels for their characters to overcome. Students will also learn how to create sound effects and music to incorporate into their game. At the end of the camp, kids will receive a copy of their game so they can play it at home.

The US Sports Institute is offering two multi sports camps in Ridgewood this summer. Designed for the youngest athletes, the Total Sports Squirts program allows campers to experience a different fun-filled sport each day, from lacrosse to flag football. In the Total Play Multi Sports program, campers will play up to 16 different sports from around the world, gaining a wide variety of technical skills. Designed for all ages and abilities, these summer camps focus on participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Skateboarding Summer Camp

Co-sponsored by Underground Skate Shop, the expert instructors of this camp will help students get to know their board, learn to ride properly and perform basic tricks. Each student must bring their own board, helmet and knee pads as safety comes first, but is always followed by fun!

Equishare/PonyShare

Ridgewood Parks and Recreation’s Equishare/Ponyshare summer camps are perfect for aspiring young Equestrians and horse lovers alike. All equipment is provided so that students can learn grooming and basic horsemanship and riding skills in a safe environment. Parents are welcome to participate in the Petite Equestrian Programs, while the Pony Grooming and Riding Program also includes lessons about horse anatomy and behavior, as well as barn management and industry careers. The half day Pony Camp teaches more advanced horsemanship skills and includes over an hour of riding each day!
